A clean file means a faster, more accurate quote.
Draw in millimetres at full size (1:1). Send a DXF or DWG with only the cut geometry on it: no title blocks, dimensions or borders.
Every outline and hole must be a closed shape. Join open ends and delete duplicate or overlapping lines.
Convert text to outlines (curves) before saving, so your lettering cuts exactly as drawn.
As a rule, keep holes at least as wide as the material is thick. Smaller holes may need drilling instead. Ask if you're unsure.
Cut-out letters and shapes with islands (like the middle of an O) need bridges to stay attached, or they'll fall out.
Typical accuracy is ยฑ0.1mm. Mark any critical dimensions on a PDF so we can check them.
Send the flat pattern if you have it. A STEP file of the folded part also works: it can be unfolded to a flat pattern.
Name each file clearly with the quantity for each. A zip of files is fine, and STEP assemblies can be split into parts.
For simple shapes a dimensioned sketch or photo is fine. We'll check it can be made as drawn.
